Low and behold, an 86 year old Willie Nelson has announced a Vegas residency at the Venetian Theatre in October, spanning six nights. One might think Willie would be setting off into the sunset, joint in hand, at this stage of his career. That would be wildly incorrect.
Not only has Nelson continued to perform to sellout crowds, he has dropped a few brands into the legal cannabis markets, such as Willie’s Remedy and Willie’s Reserve. He even got political last year, freely performing for thousands to raise awareness for the Beto O’Rourke Texas Senate campaign.
This latest announcement, revealed through Live Nation, is just another drop in the bucket for a Texas legend that seems to be growing finer with age. His shows will be October 18, 19, 22, 23, 25 and 26 at 8PM. It seems appropriate that Willie would choose what has become one of the most marijuana-friendly cities in the world to showcase his generational talent.
Tickets are expected to go on sale June 21st through both Ticketmaster and Venetian.com, ranging from 59.95 to exclusive VIP packages.
