“Hi, I’m Lukas Gilkey with Hometown Hero, and I’m speaking to you on behalf of Hometown Hero and the Texas Hemp Federation. I wanted to give an update on the status of our temporary restraining order that we filed against the state of Texas for Delta-8 on behalf of our industry. So, many of you know that on Friday of last week, the Department of State Health Services put a notice on their website claiming that Delta-8 was illegal. We believe that they did not follow the proper procedures to make this claim. So we have filed a temporary restraining order against the state that has been filed as of yesterday. The court has received it and acknowledged that. So we are currently in a waiting process. The judge has granted the state the ability to respond. So right now, we are in awaiting process for the state to respond, which should hopefully happen today. I’m being told it will happen either today or early tomorrow. Once they respond, we do hope that the judge will see our reasoning is correct and grant us our temporary restraining order. We understand how important this is to everybody. We’ve had thousands of you reach out between the businesses and the customers and thousands of veterans as well. Thank you for your service. Many of them who are delta-8 users and very upset that the state is trying to take away something they use from additional purposes, which is very important to us. So I just want to thank all of you for being patient. I apologize. I’m not giving a more concise update and a more definitive update, but I’m giving you information as I received it. This information that I’m giving you, I literally received 15 minutes ago. And as I received more information, we will post more updates, and we will notify you on what’s going on. And I can’t thank you enough for your support and for calling in and telling us that you guys support us in this fight. We understand how big of a deal it is to all of us and to the consumers in this state who use Delta-8 from additional usage. And it’s very important to us that we take this fight on head on and that we prove that we are correct in our arguments of why Delta should be legal in the state of Texas, so I can’t thank you enough again.
