Federal cannabis legalization bill unveiled in Senate

Senate Democrats unveiled a bill that has been long in the works to propose marijuana legalization, placing the matter in the hands of state legislatures. While the bill aims to not only legalize marijuana, it will establish FDA monitoring requirements like those that already in place for tobacco and alcohol. This past week has been quite an interesting one for both Susan Hays and Sid Miller, the two major candidates looking to fill the next 4 years of the Texas Ag Commissioner role. Hays gave a speech to a filled Democrat Convention Cannabis Caucus with standing room only.

The White House has doubled down on its claims that Griner is being held wrongfully even after the guilty plea. Texas NFL star David Moore was arrested for felony possession of marijuana and weapons charges on July 4th.
