FBI noted online that applicants to join the FBI cannot have consumed cannabis including CBD for at least one year, Cannarock took place at Come and Take it Live in Austin, TX, and the DEA has backed off a proposal to place two psychedelic compounds in the Schedule 1 classification after two groups put up a challenge to the item. Almost 3 years ago I wrote a similar article titled This Is The Biggest Reason Why Texas Won’t Legalize Marijuana Any Time Soon. So far the article hasn’t really been inaccurate. Accurate, even with the growing number of people supporting the legalization of marijuana in the state. This new article adds a layer of recent events and 3 years of observation on the topic.

Worth area. Thrive also sells hemp products and is a pickup location for Texas Original Compassionate Cultivation medication prescriptions. Trey tells us about his background in law enforcement, how his wife Lisa came to conclusion that it was time to help people with cannabis, and how they are giving back to the community. Trey has joined the community as an ally to help to testify to our state that LEO’s need to shift focus and be educated on the topic, and arrests for cannabis in the state.

Sky and Hobbs Organics faced a sheriff’s department raid two times in June of 2021 in which their crops and materials were removed under the accusation that the company and the two were growing marijuana. After a year of battling for information and facing felony charges, The Texas Hemp Federation led by Jay Maguire helped by bringing in some fresh legal eyes and attorney’s such as David Sergi. This is our short weekly review of what’s going on in cannabis in the week of 06/11/2022.
