El Paso’s Hottest Race: The Race for District Attorney

After 28 years, the current District Attorney, Jaime Esparza, has decided to retire at the end of his term. This leaves the seat open to whoever El Paso voters find fit to fill the position. Reporter Colt DeMorris sat down with each candidate running for District Attorney to discuss the issue of cannabis in this article. El Paso only has Democrat candidates running for District Attorney. Look Texas, Alabama medical cannabis bill SB165 passes Senate Committee

The Alabama Senate Judiciary Committee passed a bill in favor of legalizing medical marijuana in the state. The bill is a rehash of the same bill brought forward in the last Alabama legislative session. That bill wound up creating only a panel to provide recommendations to the legislature. The bill passed in the Senate committee with the 15 conditions being covered to include anxiety, PTSD, and conditions causing chronic or intractable pain. Check out the article for more information.

Collective Bargaining Agreement to eliminate cannabis suspensions in NFL

The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) released a CBA proposal to the public recently outlining changes to include cannabis policy. One of the four key components is that it Reduces the penalties to players who test positive for THC, eliminating any game suspensions strictly for positive tests.
