HALLE T.

Halle Tarvin is a PhD student in Medical Anthropology at Southern Methodist University. She recently received an MS in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics with a specialization in Psychopharmacology at the University of Maryland (2025) and an MA in Medical Anthropology from SMU (2023). She is currently Director of Research for the largest cannabis advocacy organization in Texas, Texas Cannabis Collective. Halle is an instructor and course designer for Central Penn College as well as a teaching and research assistant under Neely Myers at SMU. Her dissertation research asks why and how Texans with chronic conditions access cannabis.
